Hey, I’m Ethan the owner of The Alchemist Salon.

Welcome to The Alchemist Salon, my name is Ethan and here’s the story of how I’ve opened our salon!

I’ve been a hair professional since 2010 and I grew up and went to beauty school in this small town called Frankfort, Illinois. Ever since the day I stepped into beauty school I knew this was the path for me.

In the years following my graduation I’ve been everywhere from Chicago to Denver back to Michigan finally finding my way back to Illinios. I’ve spent time working behind the chair, running a salon education program, working as a national educator for a color brand and most importantly being a student of the hair industry.

After dedicating 12 years to the hair industry and achieving all my desired milestones, I began to feel burnt out and unfulfilled. That's when I decided to enroll as a student with Destroy the Hairdresser. Over the next 8 months, I learned to break away from the industry stereotypes and create a truly unique and special experience for hairstylists. Now, my objective is to inspire other hairdressers to discover the freedom and fulfillment that comes with breaking the industry norms and paving their own path.

I spend my days meeting new people and helping them on their hair journey. It’s been a passion of mine for the past 12 years and it continues to grow with every client I see. I am a lived-in color specialist, an extension specialist, now a salon owner and leadership coach for Destroy The Hairdresser.
